The Coventry rockers blew the roof off the 02 Academy with a high tempo, frenetic set celebrating their 15th anniversary of their debut album.

On Friday night, a passionate London crowd, that was described by frontman Tom Clarke “as the best on the tour” saw the The Enemy play their debut album We Live and Die In These Towns and a selection of hit singles,

Walking onto the stage after The Who’s classic anthem Baba O’Riley, Tom Clarke encouraged the crowd to “(Let’s F**k**g ave it (before launching through Aggro, which started  the first of many mosh pits during the scintillating set.

Away From Here, Pressure and Had Enough quickly followed, before the album title We’ll Live and Die In These Towns was sung back word for word with great gusto.

You’re Not Alone, It’s Not Ok and Technodanceaphobic were featured along with 40 Days and 40 Nights, before This Song and the melodic Happy Birthday Jane saw further singalongs before the set ended.

Walking back out with huge smiles on their faces, whilst acknowledging the fans singing This Song, The Enemy played a short encore, which included Be Somebody, Saturday, No Time For Tears and Gimme The Sign, which sparked further moshing from a crowd who paid homage to a band that were one of the most talked about and significant bands of the early 00s Indie scene.

Having not played together since splitting in 2016, until last year’s shock announcement, The Enemy delivered a set full of passion, energy and excitement, that will live long in the memory of all that witnessed a masterful performance.
