THE SHED PROJECT: IF YOU KNOW YOU KNOW: SINGLE PREVIEW

Just a few short months on from releasing their  debut album, The Curious Mind of A Common Man (one of the albums of the year) and playing a sold out gig at Manchester Academy 3,  The Shed Project are not resting on their laurels and return with the first single from their 2nd album, entitled If You You Know.

I was blown away by the opening guitar riffs and instantly felt that the band had produced something very special. The guitar riffs are explosive and are joined by a thumping bass line and pounding drums before being joined by frontman Roy’s passionate vocal, full of attitude.

One of the things that has always impressed me about The Shed Project, is that unlike many, they aren’t afraid to wear their influences on their sleeves, particularly the Manchester scene of the 90s.  If You Know You Know, is the song that The Stone Roses should have written when making their comeback a few years ago. It’s full of groove, melody and swagger and packs a real punch, that will have you toe-tapping along.

As with previous releases, the lyrics are instantly relatable and catch the imagination. If You Know You Know is saying don’t listen to what the powers that be tell you, get out there, enjoy yourself and have a good time.

The guitar solo in the outro is majestic and just builds into this crescendo of pure musical brilliance and perhaps when this is played live, the band will extend the outro, because it is right up there with anything that the Roses ever did.

In summary, If You Know You Know is explosive and is The Shed Project’s best and most addictive tune to date. With a stunning debut album behind them, the second coming can’t come soon enough!

If You Know You Know is set for release on Friday 29th July and can be pre-saved here
