HARRY LAVIN: FROM A WINDOW: SINGLE PREVIEW

Harry Lavin has made a blistering start to his solo career.  From A Window,  which mixes  psychedelic indie rock with the influence of Manchester legends Oasis and The Stone Roses, Lavin’s sublime second single.

Over the songs three and half minutes, From A Window is driven by thunderous drumming, a bouncing bass line and hypnotic guitar riffs, that revel a darker sound than debut single Where’s Home? and makes Lavin stand out from the rest of the crowd.

From a Window is loosely based on a fictional schizophrenic character I’d concocted in my own head, whilst reflecting on the influence that mainstream media channels have over people’s ability to think rationally. During the last two years in particular, many people’s window to the world has been through the TV or phone screen. It’s created a completely paranoid and distorted sense of reality. I wanted the sound of the track to reflect that, just as much as the lyrics. This is why I won’t ever tie myself down to a singular sound – I want every song I create to be multi-dimensional and not bound to any stereotypes or restrictions”

Having become known for being Twisted Wheels bass player, Lavin is now making his own mark on the music industry as a solo artist: I cannot wait to see what’s coming next!
