BURNING JUNIPER: SHE CHANGES THE WEATHER: REVIEW

Published by

on

Burning Juniper are a 4-piece indie rock band hailing from South London, and they’ve recently released their debut single She Changes The Weather.

Consisting of Ellis Smith (Lead Singer, guitarist), Lewis Maddison (Lead Guitar), James Roberts(drums), and Callum Gough (Bass guitar). Burning Juniper have been together for just a little over a year having met whilst studying music at university. They have played regular live gigs including The Fiddlers Elbow for Camden Rocks, The Amersham Arms, a headline gig at the Cavendish Arms and have headlined London’sWater Rats with This Feeling.

Thanks to the bands committment to playing live, She Changes The Weather is already a firm favourite amongst the bands ever growing fan base.

It’s a real indie rock anthem, in the mould of Catfish and the Bottlemen, Foals and The Strokes, with an great melody, guitar driven post punk hooks and a thumping rhythm section. The vocal is really emotive and captures the mood of the song perfectly.

Lyrically the song is a love song about the ending of a relationship and the emotions that come with that, whilst providing a reflective look back on the good times.

She Changes The Weather is quite simply one of the of the debut songs of 2022 and I can’t wait to see what Burning Juniper have got in store next.

She Changes The Weather is out now on all streaming and download platforms.

Catch Burning Juniper at The Workshop on 7th August. Tickets can be purchased here
