Marseille set to release groovy stomper The Jungle
Following on from the highly successful and very well received debut EP, Marseille 1, the Derby 4-piece have wasted no time in releasing their latest single, which comes complete with B-side The Universe Is Yours.
The Jungle epitomises the bands self-confidence and belief and comes in at a jaw dropping nine (9) minutes, that just grows and grows.
From the first drop of the drum beat, it’s full of pure groove that will have your feet tapping and hips shaking and proudly wears its influences its sleeve, namely 90s Madchester.

The song is full of great guitar hooks, fascinating rhythms and a thumping bassline, that as guitarist Joe Labram explains has been with the band since an impromptu jam session:
“The song derived from a jam session in Will’s bedroom when we were just 13! I was just messing around when I came up with this killer bassline that we never really did anything with at the time. Fast forward 4 years and now it’s back. With Lennon’s bass skills and fills and Tom’s rhythm sections we have taken that initial riff to a whole new level. Add to that Will’s improvised lyrics and some cool guitar work and The Jungle is born’.
Having backed Marseille from their very first single, it’s great to see that the band are well and truly the way of delivering on our early assessment and heading straight to the very top: strap yourselves in for the ride, it’s going to be nuts from here on out.
