Southend 4 piece release new uptempo single

The Lucettas are a 4-piece indie band hailing from Southend-on-Sea in Essex.

They’ve released two excellent singles to date (Counting on Me and In Everything), which have been very well received and see the band release upbeat ballads.

The new single Cyracos is an absolute gem of a song. It was written in frontman Tommy Garry’s garden during lockdown when meeting up was restricted to outdoor spaces. Bass player George liked the word sirocco and the song was built around that word. However,  when writing the lyrics, Tommy found himself singing Cyracos as it just sounded great.

Cyracos sees The Lucettas take a dramatic departure from the previous sound and release a catchy and energetic rocker.

The songs intro starts off with the words Cyracos being chanted, before these big bouncing drums kick in, which drive the song along at a frantic pace. The melodic guitar riffs are glorious and the huge guitar solo in the outro is mesmerising and hypnotic with a hint of Fleetwood Mac.

“This is the way that we are living now, take my hand when I reach out”

Tommy‘s vocal is powerful and mesmerising and suited perfectly to these energetic rocknroll tracks.

Cyracos is an anthemic dancefloor filler that shows another side to The Lucettas that is going to go down a storm.

Cyracos is released on Friday 1st July and will be available on all streaming and download platforms.
