Essex 5-piece release blistering 4th single
Fresh from playing a sold out debut London headline gig at The Water Rats, Southend’s San Quentin are back with their epic new single Hurricane, which will quite literally blow you away.
The song starts off with some morse code, before exploding into the dynamic rush of the verses: which continues for the entirety of the track. Owen Eves leads the charge with his powerful vocal, while the guitar riffs and pounding rhythms provide a sweet melody and power.
“During the writing process of this song we really tried to tie in the rhythm sections and drums and create a sound that would resemble a hurricane.”

The lyrics focus on the turbulence and unstable nature of youth culture. When the storm ends you’re not the same person, and that’s what the storms all about.
“Your a hurricane, you’ve gone insane, no one to blame, you’ve gone your way, you were the one who told me no, now your coming back for more”

Hurricane is a powerful, upbeat anthem from San Quentin, which is not only their strongest single to date, but also leaves them on the verge of bursting into the big time.
Hurricane is released on Thursday 16th June and can be pre-saved here.
San Quentin are heading out in their first nationwide UK tour in October. Tickets can be purchased here. If you are heading to this years Isle of Wight festival then make sure you catch these legends on the Saturday.
