Grace Calver set to release second single Bored Of U
Bored Of U, is Grace’s second single, after the phenomenal success of debut single Zombie Conversations (which has amassed a total of 14k streams on Spotify since it’s release in February).
Bored Of U is a brilliant dreamy, summery tune with a extremely catchy melody and Grace’s fantastic vocal.
Although written about Grace’s personal experience of a relationship, the lyrics will be relatable to many, as she explains:
“The song was written about a past relationship where my view of the situation was very different to that of the other person! The realisation towards the end that it wasn’t serious and “I was just a distraction” culminating in me getting confused by them acting hot and cold and bored of being treated in this way. I wrote the song once I was out of the situation so hopefully it comes across as tongue in cheek with a bit of an F you attitude rather than sad!”
As well as showcasing skills on the guitar and her fantastic vocal, Grace has added bass and piano/synths, ensuring that the song is a great backdrop to the summer days ahead.
Setting up camp at North Acre Studios in Cambridgeshire, with Jake Day from Tom Lumley and the Brave Liaison (a fantastic band), Grace has delivered another fantastic single, with great singalong choruses and melodies that will be the envy of many.
With writing and songs this strong it’s incredible to think that Grace is 18; remember the name as Grace Calver is going to make her big breakthrough in the months ahead!
