SHAMBOLICS: LOSING YOUR MIND: SINGLE PREVIEW

Fife 5-piece, Shambolics set to release anthemic new single Losing Your Mind.

Shambolics are back with their highly anticipated new single Losing Your Mind and they have not disappointed.

Losing Your Mind sees the 5-piece release a more gritty and mature sound than the dreamy indie rocknroll sound that has become the bands signature.

The song starts off with a melodic guitar-finger picking pattern and vocal, before the bass and drums quietly join in, building up to a heavy guitar hook before exploding into life ahead of the huge singalong chorus, which features the ‘shams trademark harmonies and soaring guitar solos.

“Losing Your Mind is a song about struggle and survival, and things we’ve seen growing up where we’re from in Fife,” says guitarist and co-lead vocalist Darren Forbes. “It tells the stories of numerous characters we’ve known along the way and the things they do just to get by. Sometimes it feels like an achievement just to make it from one day to the next without losing your mind”.

Shambolics: Losing Your Mind

Shambolics, are one of the great Scottish bands, states the legendary Alan Mcgee, founder of Creation Records and it’s current guise Creation23. Having championed Shambolics since 2016, this is a statement that we at ThisIsTheMusic whole heartedly agree with.

Losing Your Mind shows an evolution and growing maturity in the bands sound. 2022 is going to be the year that Shambolics fulfill their undoubted potential.

“Take a look around, tell me what you see, are you blinded by the lies they sold to you and me?”

Losing Your Mind is released on Friday 25th March and will be available to download and stream across all major platforms.
