York 4-piece release rocknroll stomper
Outlaw is the new energetic, fast-paced and stomping single from Skylights and it will blow you away instantly.
The song starts off with a frantic opening of electric guitars, before big pounding drums kick in, along with a riff right borrowed from The Cult‘s “She Sells Sanctuary” book: and at the exact moment you can already visualise gig goers jumping up and down.
The track was inspired by the people of Aberdeen, which has become their 3rd home after the constant support for the band . The chorus pays tribute to an Aberdeen FC football chant, yet fits perfectly with current and recent events, without trying to be political, and reveals some of their early punk influences.
“Stand free wherever you may be, Don’t believe in all you see, Life ain’t like it used to be, Be free”

Skylights success has been built upon word of mouth and in Outlaw the band, have not only released their best song to date, but have also cemented their status as the band of the people and leave you wanting more, ahead of the bands debut album in May.
Outlaw is released on Friday 25th March and will be available to stream and download across all major platforms, including musicglue.com
Skylights are set to play a huge homecoming show at the o2 Leeds Academy on Saturday 9th July. Tickets can be purchased here. All other gig dates, including dates in Edinburgh, Dublin and Aberdeen, can be found here.
