Marseille release melodic new single, Forget It All

Having released their critically acclaimed single  She Knows A Place, just a few weeks ago, the Derby 4-piece have wasted no time in getting their second single of 2022 out and building upon the impressive momentum that they have built since forming in 2021.

Forget It All, shows a new side to Marseille, that we’ve not seen on the singles released to date. It takes influence from Liverpool‘s 60s Merseybeat and 90s Britpop; specifically legendary Britpop bands Cast and The La’s. Marseille have produced a masterpiece in songwriting by delivering an anthemic, dreamy and melodic song, stripped right back to acoustic guitars, a sublime, jangly guitar solo and bouncing drums.

Marseille: Believe The Hype

At ThisIsTheMusic we have been a big supporter of Marseille since we received their first single and have never waived in our belief that the band have all of the ingredients to be the next big thing. Believe the hype as that prophecy is set to be fulfilled in the very near future.

Forget It All is released on Friday 18th March and is available to stream/download on all of the usual platforms.

Marseille are the first band signed to Birmingham’s ADR Records and Forget It All represents the labels first release. A great coup for both the band and the label, who under the guise of Away Day Radio have done so much in supporting the revival of UK guitar music.

If you want to know more about Marseille, then check out the ThisIsTheMusic meets podcastwhere we sat down and chatted to Will Brown and Joe Labram.

You can catch Marseille live on March 25th when the play the Happy Daze Indie Night in Derby. Tickets can be purchased here
