Cardiff 3 piece, Pacifica release storming debut EP Orchard Drive.

There are times when you first listen to a band and you immediately know that they’ve got “it”: It being that magic and being instantly captivated and blown away by each song. Well be prepared to feel all of those emotions and more on the debut EP from Pacifica.

Orchard Drive is storming rocknroll debut, consisting of 3 tracks that puts the 3-piece firmly at the forefront of an exciting Welsh music scene, including Columbia; The Rivers; The Holy Coves and Megan Wyn.

Rock and Roll Talking is an instant classic and will blow you away. It‘s a soaring, stomper of an anthem with passionate vocals, bouncing drums and epic guitar riffs. This is the type of soaring guitar anthem that all bands need. I love the lyrics especially the bridge as it gives a feeling of hope, ambition and in many ways is call to arms to the kids of the bands generation.

“I’m gunna live this life, just the way I live my dreams, It’s like rushing to the light of the sun”

Living In A Lonely Place sees the tempo stepped up and the guitar riffs will have you instantly toe-tapping along  It‘s a great rocknroll tune that bounces along and possesses thought provoking lyrics

“Do You Ever Wonder, what’s it’s like to be me? Do You Ever Ponder, whats it’s like to be free?”

The third and final track is  Orchard Drive, The drumming and guitars in the verses remind me of peak Kings of Leon (well the first two albums when they could do no wrong), and the chorus will get a big singalong when played live; well assuming that you aren’t in the middle of the mosh pit, as I’m certain that this song will go off when it’s played live.

Orchard Drive is the storming riff-filled stadium ready rocknroll debut from Pacifica: believe the hype, as this band are going right to the top!

Orchard Drive is released on Friday 18th March and will be available to stream and download across all of the usual platform.
