East London 4-piece release blistering new EP.
Swallow The Weekend is Cavalcade‘s first EP release in Golden Robot Records and is full of anthemic straight up rocknroll bangers.
Kicking off with Feels Like Home (which has amassed nearly 16k streams on Spotify since it’s release), it’s full of mesmerising riffs and relentless energy, that sets the tone for what this EP is all about.
Dreaming About, is the bands most recent single and keeps the relentless pace going and is real banger.
The next two songs are new tracks (at least to this writer). First up the EP’s title track. The heavy bass-line drives the song along with the songs energy coming from the pounding drums. The guitar riffs are iconic and wouldn’t sound out of place on a Biffy record.

Sunshine Child starts off on just an acoustic guitar with the chords being finger picked joined by an isolated vocal. As the song develops the the drums and bass-line, kick-in before exploding into the bands trademark rocknroll sound, just as the chorus kicks in. The outro builds up with the lyric “I want you to know” being sung over and over, before an explosive and epic guitar riff, backed up my pounding drums give Sunshine Child one last hit of high-energy, that I’m sure when it’s played live will have everyone in the mosh pit!
Swallow The Weekend captures themes of love, pain and escapism told through punchy vocals, soaring guitar riffs, and pounding bass-lines.
Swallow The Weekend consists 4 great tunes, which feature honest relatable lyrics that come with loving and leaving and captures the spirit and sound of the band: Relentless rocknroll that will blow you away.
