Having formed just before the covid lockdown in 2020, Lock-IN have quickly established themselves as one of the most exciting bands on the emerging guitar scene.
With over 250k streams on Spotify, a debut EP in Boys Kiss Boys, support slots with The Sherlocks and The Skinner Brothers, as well as selling out their own headline shows at London’s renowed Water Rats (debut headliner) and Omeara within minutes of going on sale, Lock-IN are a band on the rise.
So what of the new single? Insecure is the bands biggest and best tune to date and with its instantly catchy melody and fast paced tempo, will have you heading straight to the dancefloor at your local indie club night. Paddy’s guitar solos are soaring and Sam’s bassline and Ollie‘s drums are thumping. Angus rhythm guitar playing holds everything together.
The lyrics tell the story of a romantic entanglement and lusting and is a real rollercoaster of emotions.
“If she never called, I would never lie, But she’s on the line, To another guy”
Speaking on the bands’ new anthem, frontman Benjy Leak explained: Boom, feels like it’s been a minute. But that’s ‘insecure’ for ya. This tune is LOCK-IN and there is no doubt in mine or any of the bands’ minds that this is our best tune yet. After being announced as Gigwise’s Big In 22 acts, we knew we had to hit the ground running and prove that statement! This will get the party dancin’ and the crowd singing. Are ya ready?’

Having championed the band from their very first release, its been amazing to see the strides that they have made, as each release just continues to get better and better. Lock-IN will be the band of their generation. Strap yourselves in as it’s going to be one heck of a ride! See you at Brixton Academy in 2023!
Insecure is released on Friday 25th February and can be pre-saved here.
Lock-IN will also be releasing their first ever music video, which will go live at 8pm on Wednesday 2nd March on their You Tube channel. Produced and directed by Connor Maclaren, it shows the band living inside a wild 80’s romantic film and captures the essence and spirit of the tune perfectly.
Lock-IN are set to play the inaugural Test Transmission series on 1st March and Rewired festival on 15th (Leeds Brudenell social club) and17th April (The Garage, London). Both gigs are curated by new music champions This Feeling. They’ve also been added to the bill for The Great Escape festival.
