Southend indie rockers San Quentin played an electric debut headline gig and managed something that storm Eunice couldn‘t do; blow the roof off of Chinnerys!
Kicking off the set with current single Step Off, the band led by frontman Owen Eves had the sell-out crowd eating out of the palm of their hands.
The band played an energetic set and rattled through their twelve song set, which included a cover of rocknroll legends Oasis iconic tune Morning Glory which was fantastic and a cover of Catfish and the Bottlemen’s anthem Twice, a song that San Quentin and have well and truly made their own and almost saw the band blow the roof off.

However, that moment was reserved for forthcoming new single Crossed The Line (due for release on March 7th via Golden Robot Records), and is full of catchy hooks, punchy vocals and an explosive chorus.

The set was finished with debut single Laughs on You, with its infectious guitar riff and pounding bass line, the band ensured they finished the set on a real high. Or so we thought! Due to cries of “one more song” the band swaggered back on stage do just that and finished off their set by playing Step Off, proving that they are well and truly rising rocknroll stars and will soon be a band on everyone’s lips.
