Manchester’s Shade return with epic new single.
Illusive Dreams re-confirms in my mind that Shade are the real deal. It’s an electric single full of rousing guitars and is a great anthem.
The song starts off in a swirl of psychedelic, before bursting into life with pounding drums, rumbling bass line and big stadium ready guitars.
This opening sets the tone for the fast relentless pace that is to follow, before the band bring the pace down a notch before slowly building back up ahead of the songs euphoric finale.
Lead singer Luke Owens said about the track “The song itself is about these weird dreams I was having at the time of writing the record and I have always thought the best lyrics come to you in your dreams…. We wanted to go down a different route and maybe more psychedelic in a way and with this song I really think we’ve captured the essence of Illusive Dreams”.
“You‘ve been talking to the ghost of your dreams, he says the futures what you make it and the past ain’t what it seems”
Illusive Dreams is an anthemic rocker that is destined to be massive, bringing the band firmly to the attention of the masses and cementing the bands credentials as being one of the best bands to come out of Manchester since Oasis.
Illusive Dreams is released on Friday 18th February, via Fear Records and can be pre-saved here.
Catch Shade live at their biggest headline show to date when they headline Deaf Institute Manchester on Saturday 12th March. Tickets can be purchased here.
