Glass Violet return with anthemic new single Indigo.
The new single is one that is ready made for arenas with its big catchy chorus – imagine Blossoms meeting The Killers and exploding into a kaleidoscope of synths.
The drums and thumping bass line give the song a great energy and tightness in the rhythm section.
The song is about striving for greater things and represents the bands best tune to date, which is a highly impressive feat when you consider the bands previous releases.
“Indigo was a song that I was planning on saving for our first album, but after not being satisfied with our previous single, we knew that we had to up our game and spent a few weeks trying to re write it until it finally felt perfect. We then went into a studio to replace all the drums and guitar parts before me and Tom finished the song at my house during July. In terms of influences on the song, a key moment was realising that the track should be some sort of cross between ‘Hounds of Love’ by Kate Bush and ‘Read my Mind’ by The killers.” – Alex John, (Songwriter, Producer, Guitar)

Indigo is released on Friday 26th November and can be pre-saved here
