PANDAS- DEBBIE – SINGLE REVIEW

Glasgow Indie rockers Pandas are back with their latest banger Debbie, which is set for release on Friday 30th July.

Debbie is a fast paced anthem full of vibrant guitars, stunning guitar riffs, big pounding drums and is filled with swagger and attitude.

The opening bars are filled with acoustic guitar before the big pounding drums kick in and an iconic guitar riff, supported with a thumping bassline which features throughout the song and gives the song a real groove.

The passion that Ellis has for Debbie is evident in the lyrics and vocal delivery and really help you get an understanding of what this cool moped looks like!

“She takes me away at 56, she dresses like an Italian, electric but takes a kick to get going”

When discussing the lead singer Ellis Hurley, who also wrote the song said:

“The song is a love story between a man and his relationship with his moped, let Pandas take you on a drive into our world”

Here, at ThisIsTheMusic we’ve been big fans of Pandas since they released When Its Sunny (over 10.5k streams on Spotify) last year. Debbie, as with their previous releases is a joyous and uplifting song with a beautiful melody; I can’t wait to see what the future holds for the band and hopefully catch them live if and when they venture down south!
