THE SHED PROJECT – A DAY IN THE DAM

The Shed Project are back with their new single A Day In The Dam and what a dam fine tune it is.

As the song title suggests, the theme of the song is about a day in Amsterdam, taking in the surroundings of the countryside and the local (cough, cough) culture.

As with all of The Shed Project previous release, the song is set against a beautiful melody, jangly guitars (in the mould of the Charlatans and the Smiths) and a great rhythm section.

“I’m mooching, I’m buzzing, I’m tripping, I’m jibbing”

Halfway through the song, it completely changes tempo and direction thanks to its bouncing drum beat and guitar riffs. With lyrics furthering the experience of  Amsterdam, as you take in all that the red light district can offer, purple haze coffee shops and the realisation that you need you pillow and are so high.

This is a brilliantly clever and fun song, which even if you haven’t been to Amsterdam, you can visualise exactly what it’s like!

A Day In The Dam, is released on Friday 23rd July and can be pre-saved here.

The Shed Project set to play their debut (and homecoming) gig at the famous The Phoenix Club, with tickets going on sale at  Skiddle.

The Shed Project can be followed on social media including: Twitter Instagram & Facebook. Check out their other songs over on Spotify
