George Rowlands is back with his third single of 2021, The Girl of Summer.

The Girl of Summer is an acoustic ballad, featuring George’s trademark snarl, hand claps, strings and a beautiful melody. 

The Girl of Summer, is a departure from the sound of his songs released earlier in the year, as it’s more mellow and in places experimental. 

The lyrics are full of positivity, with the seasons of the year being used as a metaphor of sharing special moments with the person you love.

“wake me up when you are near, c’mon girl, let’s go watch the sunset glow”

George Rowlands is a singer songwriter based in Shrewsbury and is set to release a couple more tunes before the year is over; something that we at ThisIsTheMusic are very excited about!
