THE ROTANAS- GET THE CALL SINGLE REVIEW

The Rotanas are a Cardiff based Britpop influenced  5-piece who are set to release their latest single Get The Call on Friday 9th July.

The song is the first not to be written by prolific songwriter James Wilson, with Get The Call, written by new band member Aaron Tormey and, as with the bands previous releases it’s an absolute anthem.

Fusing 90s indie, with psychedelic and shoegazing, and is full of swagger and soaring guitar riffs, backed with thundering drumming and rumbling bass line that powers the song on.

The opening chord progression gives the song a Cast vibe, before giving way to that unmistakable  Rotanas sound.

The song questions today’s society of where everyone is afraid of missing out on something, getting what they wanted and finding out that the grass isn’t always greener.

Despite the obvious problems that covid has presented, 2021 has started off great for the Cardiff 5-piece. Spinnerreached the top of the Dutch indie chart compiled by IndieXL, and Manic(which we previewed herehas amassed over 50k streams on Spotify since its release in March.

With Disobedient Records behind them, The Rotanas are what the world‘s been waiting for.
