Albion are a 5-piece group, who formed in north London in 2015, harnessing a sound that has a crisp new take on blues, folk and classic rock with driving guitars and soaring vocal harmonies.
Capital, is the bands new single and is due for release on Friday 2nd July and is a song about living and surviving in London.
Straight from the outset we hear those soaring vocal harmonies that are prevalent throughout the song and get a rich, flawless sound that demonstrates that Albion are a band at the top of their game.
The song is triumphant and many people living in big cities (particular London) will be able to resonate with. The first two verses are semi-autobiographical, written from the perspective of living in London and the hopes, dreams and fears that you have.
The final verse, beginning with “What brought you brazen and bold?” is the response of the capital. In effective this verse is asking: “What did you expect?”.
Capitol is another brilliant song from the London 5-piece, who are writing about subjects that no-one has dared considered, and I firmly believe will be the bands breakthrough track, that will attract the attentions of the biggest names/supporters of new music.
