Jack Gill is a song songwriter hailing from Liverpool, and after the highly successful first release of 2021 in the form of With Me (amassing over 15k streams on Spotify) is set to release his second single of 2021 in the shape of Ballad of a 90s Kid. 

The song is an upbeat rocknroll stomper, and is described by Jack as being “a short story on a man who sold his soul to the devil” (maybe that’s why Keith Richards has lived for so long!!). 

The lyrics are fantastic and really set the tone for theme of the song:

“90s boy with a 60s mind, he never knew he reached these heights, paying his dues to rocknroll”

With it’s soaring guitar solos, pounding drums and a punchy bass line, this song is influenced by the blues, in particular the blues master Robert Johnson.

Ballad of a 90s Kid is a great song and showcases the excellent musicianship of Jack Gill.
