Kid Violet, one of the most exciting bands to emerge from London’s indie scene and on Friday 25th June, are set to release their brand new single Kryptonite.

You know when you hear a song for the first time and you just know it’s great? Well Kryptonite is that song.

Coming in at just under 3 minutes, Kryptonite is a fast paced indie anthem, and is an exciting love-story and will be relatable to many.

As with previous releases, Kryptonite, is a song full of swagger, energy, driving epic guitar riffs, bouncing druming and powerful singing that has become synonymous with the band and makes their records and live gigs an exciting event.

“Take a chance on me girl, cos we both know you‘ll rock my world”

The song tells a story of how a boy and girl fall for each other, but face complications as they are both in a relationship. The lyrical content of the song explores how both parties, know they shouldn’t meet, but try and work around this and the realisation that they  are in effect each other’s Kryptonite, and therefore can’t resist.

As  frontman Billy Cotter sings:

“Live fast, die young, keep stum and we‘ll be fine”

Kryptonite is a fantastic record and is the sort of song that will get crowds up and dancing along to, as well as filling indie dance floors across the land.

Kryptonite will be released on Friday 25th June and can be pre-saved here
