Joey Greener is a Derbyshire based indie singer song writer with influences ranging from Oasis, The Smiths, The Stone Roses and Arctic Monkeys.
He has released 5 songs to date and his most recent release P.A. System has amassed over 38k streams on Spotify; a mighty impressive figure, for a 15 year old without a record deal; that is something I’m sure will change in the very future!
P.A. System is an uptempo track with big powerful drumming and a punchy guitar riff, which gives the song an Arctic Monkeys doing The Verve doingJake Bugg vibe.
The song has a brilliant melody and the chord progressions are fantastic and gives the song a skiffle feel and beat.
When Joey plays at this years YNOT Festival on July 31st, this song will have the Festival goers up and dancing up and down and wanting more.
Joey started his musical journey by performing live gigs at the end his driveway, performing to his neighbors in an attempt to keep their spirits up, which escalated in him being interviewed in BBC Midlands Today and performing virtually at last years YNOT from Home Festival.
He will be releasing a EP next month, called Take What You Can Carry. I look forward to hearing this as I think the Joey is a highly talented musician with a big future ahead of him.
Joey can be followed across his social media platforms Instagram, Facebook, You Tube and Spotify.
