Josh Parry is a solo artist hailing from Stoke-on-Trent, since moving to Derby, his musical path has gathered real momentum and has seen him release 3 songs already in 2021, that has seen Josh’s songs added to radio playlists up and down the country, including BBC Introducing.

His songs to date can be found on the links below;

 I’m Not Here To Stay  (An emotional track about his Grandad)

 Holiday  (an upbeat positive song that will have you up and dancing in no time: and contains an opening chord sequence which fans of The Housemartins will know well)

and his latest release Don’t Wish Your Life Awaywhich was the first song that Josh ever wrote. The song comes in at just over 3 minutes and, as the song title suggest, it’s about not wishing your life away and seizing the moment. A great message to get into a song, especially after the impact that Covid-19 has had on us all.

The song has an upbeat tempo, played on  an acoustic guitar, some brilliant drumming and a bluesy sounding  guitar solo that fits in perfectly with the sound of the song. Josh has, a raspy and gritty vocal, which gives him a distinctive sound.

“Used to talk about all the things we could do, talk about being 22, in the pubs again”

The song is very catchy, has a heartfelt message to it and is brilliant  indie pop music.

It  won’t be long before Josh Parry is gracing Festivals across the county and having gig goers in the palm of his hand, very much like Gerry Cinnamon.

Josh can be followed across his social media platforms Twitter and Instagram
