Marseille are an exciting indie rock band hailing from Derby, and are set to release their latest single Shout It Out Loud, that’s 3 minutes of pure rocknroll and really announces the bands arrival as ones to watch in 2021 and beyond.
Shout it Out Loud, is the bands, second release, after their debut single World’s Gone Mad, which has amassed over 35k streams since its release in March and I’m predicting that this second record will achieve better streams than the debut single and really propel them into the main stream spot light.
Shout It Out Loud, starts off with the drum beat, before being joined by some guitar feedback and the fast paced and energetic tempo begins; once live gigs start up again, I can see the masses jumping around to this song.
The bands craftmanship as musicians is demonstrated with a change in the drum tempo during the bridge and adds another dimension to the song. Not to be outdone, we get an epic guitar solo which leads us into the outro and leaves you wanting more.
The lyrics are great, full of positivity, ambition and dreaming of being a rock ‘n’ roll star and resonates to the inner rock ‘n’ roll star that exists within us all. Once you’ve heard this song I will defy anyone if they are not, as the title suggests, “Shouting (It) Out Loud” the chorus
“Shout It Out Loud, If You Want It Now, Everything Will Come if You Scream and Shout yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah”
Marseille’s frontman, Will Brown, said of the new single: “Shout it out loud was a song written before lockdown when I was only 14 years old. It’s about being a rock ‘n’ roll star playing to thousands of people and them sing all their songs back. The song is basically written about our dream to make it big and to have songs that mean things to people that they can sing back to us. And of course, having a great time whilst doing so. I wrote this song so it can be seen from both the perspective of a fan and of course the rock star in us all, in the sense that you can enjoy someone else’s music, or rock their fucking socks off”.
Marseille are full of ambition and want to be the “big band” of their generation and with songs like Shout It Out Loud, that is a real possibility.
Shout It Out Loud will be released on Friday 21st May, available to pre-save here.
Follow the band across their social media platforms Facebook, Instagram, and Spotify. The bands merchandise and debut single are available from the online shop.
