SENSES – HARDER NOW (FOR LOVE)

Senses are a genre hoping four piece guitar band, originally from Coventry and were formed in the early 2000s. The band comprises of Brian Callan (vocals and guitars), Ian Finnegan (drums and piano), Kevin Kavanagh (guitar) and Ronan O’Connor (bass).

With a record deal halted thanks to a delay with a Japanese label, all seemed lost for Senses, who went on a hiatus, with the band located across Europe, and the hope of new music all but disappearing.

Lockdown brought the band back together and we’ve already been treated to two excellent singles in Drop Your Arms and Drifting, which have gained the band nationwide radio coverage thanks to BBC Introducing and XS Manchester.

On Friday 21st May they are set to release their fantastic new single Harder Now (For Love) which continues the bands triumphant return to the music scene.

The song is a real rock anthem and thanks to its driving bass and epic guitar riffs, is really refreshing and exciting and reminds me of Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, giving the song a garage rock vibe. The drums are punchy and give the song its fast paced tempo from the first beat to the fading synth which climaxes the song.

The chorus is instantly memorable and in-between pogoing, will be sung back to the band, by the fans at the top of their voices.

“You’ve taken everything out from me, Harder Now, Harder Now, Harder Now, For the Love”

Harder Now (For The Love) was produced by Gavin Monaghan (Editors, Slow Reader’s Club, The Twang, Kid Kapichi) and mastered by LOUD (Radiohead, The Clash, PJ Harvey).

Harder Now (For The Love) deserves to be played in arenas across the county and beyond and can be pre-saved from the following link ahead of its release on Friday 21st May; Spotify

Senses can be found across social media including: Instagram, Twitter, You Tube, Bandcamp, and Facebook.
