Parka are a 4-piece rock n roll band, based in Bristol and “You To Know”, which is set to feature on their forthcoming EP “Good Morning”, is their first release in almost 2 years.
You to Know, starts off with bird song and some guitar feedback, before the euphoric guitar riff and thunderous drumming kick in and give the song its vibrant energy. The vocal delivery is exemplary, and for my money is as good as anything we’ve heard from the great rock n roll singers of the past.
The guitar riff has a real britpop feel and wouldn’t look out of place on an Oasis, Stone Roses or Ocean Colour Scene record.

‘You To Know’ is described by frontman and main songwriter, Brandon as being ‘about breaking through and seeing things as they truly are, when something seems a certain way but is, in fact, the opposite.’
This is a brilliant song and really builds the excitement for the forthcoming EP release, which I can’t wait for. I will be keeping a close eye on Parka for the rest of 2021 and beyond.
