The Social are a 4 piece indie rock band hailing from Inverclyde in Scotland. Formed in 2018, the band released their debut album “Anti Social” , (highly recommend that you give this a listen) in the summer of 2019, and are in the process of recording songs that will form the backbone of their forthcoming EP (title and release date to be confirmed).
I‘ve had the pleasure of listening to one of the songs from the forthcoming coming EP and it’s a brilliant indie rock anthem.
The Writings On The Wall starts off with a marching drum beat, before an epic guitar solo kicks in, which is played throughout the song, before leading us into the vocal.
“The Writings on The Wall, she ain’t that mad at all, when you hear her demons call, get out of my way”
The songs bass line is really catchy, giving the song a real grove and dance vibe.
What is evident in the song is the tightness in the playing, particularly the rhythm section, and the electricity and the confidence in the band.
With the band receiving lots of local radio play in Scotland, the anticipation for the EP is building and I for one, cannot wait to hear more!
Follow The Social across their social media platforms Twitter, Instagram Facebook and YouTube where you can watch the epic video.
