B12entertainment, are set to showcase some of Scotland’s best up and coming musicians with a groundbreaking virtual gig, broadcast live on Immersive TV on Sunday 2nd May.
The artists set to feature are headliners Spyres (one of my favourite discoveries in 2020); St Clements: Strange Dimensions and Paul Mullen.
Want to know more about the bands then check out their bios below.
Spyres
Spyres are a punk rock band, who have released 3 singles to date, amassing over 27k streams on Spotify. 2020 started off with the band selling out their single launch party for “Fake ID”, the band went on to support Nothing But Thieves at the Brit Awards week x War Child gigs as well as performing an energetic set as part of the Get Oan Wae It podcast’s ‘Sams Night’ fundraiser. The band have already got a busy 2021 in store and have secured debut festival slots at TRNSMT and Live at Leeds and will be supporting legendary band Jesus and The Mary Chain at the world famous Barrowlands venue in Glasgow. St Clements
St Clements have written a number of singalong indie anthems, full of positivity, with their live set described as being reminiscent “of a child that’s been given too much sugar when they are on stage. Electric.” Give them a listen on Spotify
Strange Dimensions
This four piece band comprises of two siblings and one set of cousins. Influenced by the likes of The Strokes, Fountaines DC and bands from Madchester, with a sprinkling of rock.
Paul Mullen
Viewers can watch the gig live or on catch-up, with the option to be part of the virtual audience by purchasing an interactive ticket. Interactive ticket buyers will be displayed on a 12 metre by 2 metre HD LED screen, giving each act an 180 degree view of the audience.
Paul has been described as a Scottish Lee Mavers, and his two single releases to date have a strong Britpop influence. A 3rd single is in the pipeline along with a number of gigs. Give Paul a listen on Spotify
The gig is set to start at 7pm with ticket prices starting at £8 (allowing you to watch on catch up) with an interactive ticket costing £11. I’m sure you’ll agree this is excellent value for money.
