Watermark – What Did You Expect?

Wolverhampton band Watermark, have released the 3rd song from their forthcoming debut EP, Hickman Avenue.

This song is an acoustic ballad, twinned with a driving piano piece and heralds a different and exciting sound and direction for the band: I think it will break up the bands debut EP very nicely.

The song is a statement on today’s “I want it now culture” and when you get the thing you wanted, it doesn’t live up to those expectations.

Although predominantly a ballad we are treated to a swirling guitar solo as part of the outro, which fits the song perfectly.

Hickman Avenue, the bands debut EP will be released on 1st May and will be proceed by one final demo to launch the EP.

It’s an exciting time to be in Watermark and as a fan of the band I’m waiting in anticipation for the next release as well as what the future holds for 2021.

Follow the band across their social media channels including Twitter Facebook Instagram and Spotify
