By releasing “Something New” The Vitrines have released a monster of a track, that will have you hooked instantly.
Something New, is a brilliant indie punk track and looks at the challenges and sacrifices that comes with moving away from home and trying “something new”.
The song’s guitar riff, rivals anything delivered on all of the great punk records, providing the song with its beautiful melody. Something New delivers a sound that is different to anything else around at the moment and will have you toe- tapping along from the moment you press play.
With a big sound like this, you’d expect the band to have at least 4 members. No! The band is fronted by guitarist/vocalist Alex and drummer Morgan, and together make a fine and formidable duo.
The Vitrines have already received praise from the likes of music legends Steve Lamacq and John Kennedy and performed at the IoW festival in 2019. The future certainly looks very bright and they are hoping to play re-scheduled dates at The Joiners in their hometown of Southampton, the world famous Water Rats, in London and Mothers Ruin in Bristol, with dates scheduled in April and May, alongside This Feeling.
The song is released on 22nd January and can be pre-saved here https://show.co/MJxutBf
