The Mariners have delivered another indie pop masterpiece with Dear Genevieve, which is the first single (of three) from their second album which will be released in 2021.
Dear Genevieve is everything that you have come to expect from the band, with its beautiful melody, heartfelt lyrics and a throwback to 60s pop.
Dear Genevieve tells the ultimate love story: being in love with someone, waking up with them and spending all your time with that person. A really relatable song.
The single is also backed up with a b-side and seaside (sorry!!) which is an unexpected bonus and a real treat, especially in this download and streaming age. Are We Nearly There Yet? Is a romantic reminiscing of family get always to UK holidays camps. Whilst Dear Suzanne is a fast paced quite essentially English pop song.
